Attorney-at-law, PhD Dan-Adrian Cărămidariu, member of the CDB Legal team, participated in the 10th Edition of the Intellectual Property Conference, held on 7 November 2025 in the \"Petre Antonescu\" Hall of the Palace of the Faculty of Law, University of Bucharest. The event, organized by the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of the West University of Timișoara, brought together academics, researchers and practitioners specialized in intellectual property and competition law.
Within Module II - Antitrust Approach, attorney-at-law, PhD Dan-Adrian Cărămidariu delivered the presentation \"Who Owns Data? European Law between Intellectual Property Protection and Freedom of Competition\". His intervention examined the legal status of data in a digitalized economy, highlighting the tensions between intellectual-property protection mechanisms and the imperative of maintaining an open competitive environment.
The presentation emphasized recent developments in European law, rights and limitations regarding access to data, as well as the challenges related to data use in technological and platform ecosystems. Participation in the conference reflects a constant commitment to scientific dialogue and critical analysis of the interaction between traditional legal institutions and the new realities of a data-driven economy.
